Community-Based Services
Using our expertise, we collaborate and aid other organizations towards examining their own practices and sustainability potential using an environmentally just lens. Small businesses and nonprofits in Western New York (WNY) rely on us to help them with their strategic short and long range goals, aligning their mission and vision to reflect their actual practices within their local organizations. We have worked closely with the leadership of local orgs to ensure open and transparent communication and timely deliverables and have been contracted to help organizations with fundraising, fund development, strategic direction, policy-advocacy leadership, and several more needs-specific services.
Educational Services
We also offer locally-based published curriculum products that are grade level specific and can be a jumping off point for educators interested in learning more about place-based curriculum, but may not be quite ready to create their own. In addition to this, we help educators and learners develop their own curriculum enhanced by local spaces, places, and in collaboration with community members. With high expectations, often sparked by student questioning, and coupled with a rubric-based assessment model that foregrounds collaborative and peer-led learning opportunities, our curriculum units not only result in a high level of student engagement, but push students to meet NYS benchmarks and standards.
We also offer educator coaching using DEI metrics, evaluation and research components educators may utilize to strengthen their pedagogy, and a number of additional services that can enhance educational spaces in WNY.
