Representation is Important

Research shows that diversifying the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) fields is slow going and women in these professions typically still only earn about 74% of men’s median earnings. That’s why MEL’s work is so important. When this young scholar found out that Monica was a geologist, she jumped at the chance to mold her future along a similar path. Showing up in the community is one of the important parts of our vision at Mother Earth Literacies. We want every child to see their limitless potential and know there are supports in place to help them reach their goals.
